Through her work with the Small Business Development Center, the angel investment community, and as a small business owner herself; Jennifer has a thorough understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs today. She is passionate about helping them plan for their futures. Jennifer works alongside her clients to chart the tactics required to meet their goals; making sure that those strategies are in alignment with their core values and life purpose. Once their needs are determined, Jennifer will create deliverables on a project or hourly basis.

Her vision is to forge genuine, long term relationships with her clients and be their life-long trusted provider by conducting her business with the utmost integrity. She also seeks to be a leader in providing resources, referrals, and recommendations for all aspects of her client's businesses.

Jennifer Dye, MBA, CBA

Jennifer Dye has lived in Washington since 1970.  Following her early career in property management, she purchased a small business in Kent, WA. In the next 12 years she grew that business from a 500 sq. ft storefront to two large locations and three satellite programs. She has also founded two non-profits. Through this experience, she developed a love of the entrepreneurial spirit, and, wanting to help other business owners, earned her M.B.A. in Leadership from the University of Washington, Bothell in 2016.  She earned a certificate in Adaptive Leadership from Leadership Eastside in 2016 as well. Having established herself as a recognized leader in the business community, Jennifer was invited to teach Marketing Management at the University of Washington Bothell School of Business in 2017. She completed an Executive Certificate in Business Analysis and Digital Transformation in 2020.

 

While attending grad school, she began her career as a Certified Business Advisor with the Small Business Development Center.  During her tenure with the Highline SBDC, Jennifer assisted over 450 clients, helped them to acquire over $1.9M in capital infusion, aided in the start-up of 22 new businesses and the creation of 54 new jobs. Now the Center Director at the Lacey SBDC, she services the greater Thurston County community through one-one-one advising, teaching, and presenting. She increased her financial accumen by serving as a Community Partner and member of the Due Diligence committee for Keiretsu Forum, a world-wide angel investment organization. In 2019 she earned her Series 7, Series 66 and Washington State Insurance licenses, and in 2020 she will earn her Certified Business Appraiser credential.

Jennifer has been invited to speak on a variety of topics for small business owners, and has presented for the Small Business Administration, the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce, the King County Library System, Discover Burien, and many others. She was also invited to write for the Puget Sound Business Journal.

 

She currently lives in Olympia, WA and spends her free time volunteering for Friends of Capitol Forest; a local trail maintenance non-profit, and mountain-biking, hiking and kayaking throughout the Pacific Northwest.
